Those who attended September’s PTA meeting learned that a Bluffsview mom is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Mrs. Fox asked us to share information about the Be The Match Registry®, which could help her and others who need donors.
The first step to being someone’s cure is to join Be The Match Registry®. If you are between the ages of 18-44, committed to donating to any patient in need, and meet the health guidelines, you can join online. Be the Match will send you a cheek swab kit in the mail within 3-7 business days. Simply swab your cheek, return the sample in the mail, and complete your registration.
If you are between the ages of 18 and 44, patients especially need you. Research shows that cells from younger donors lead to more successful transplants. Doctors request donors in the 18-44 age group 85% of the time.
