Family Fun Night!

Fall Family Night is Thursday, October 17th 6- 8pm

Put on your dancing shoes (and eating pants) and JOIN THE PARTY on the Bluffsview Playground!  Bring chairs and/or picnic blankets.  Pack a family picnic basket or purchase dinner from the Food Trucks- Explorers Club and Paddy Wagon.

6th Grade will be selling  Hot and Cold Beverages and Desserts from DQ at 920 N High Street!

Bluffsview Spirit Wear will be sold AND the BOOK FAIR will be open!!

Bluffsview Reading Week (Jan 28-Feb 1)

Thanks to school librarian for organizing the following events for Bluffsview Reading Week:

Tues, Jan. 29: Wear Your Special Word What’s your special word? Let us know by wearing your word. Get creative! Students will be making props for this is art class, but they can create on their own as well.

Wed, Jan. 30: Kate David Author Visit Author and Bluffsview parent Kate David will be visiting our school and sharing her award-winning picture books. Students will be able to order personal copies and have them signed.

Thursday, Jan. 31: Where Do You Want to Go? Reading takes us everywhere! Where do you want to go? Dress to show us! Want to visit Paris? Love the beach? Excited for a hiking trip? Ready to visit the moon? Have fun showing us where reading can take you!

Fri, Feb. 1: Family Fun Night Face painting! Reading! Board Games! Crafts! STEM activities! Nintendo Switch!  us at the Northwest Library from 6:30-8:00 for a night of fun with the whole family. Wear your PJs and check out library materials. Pizza provided as supplies last.

STEAM Night is tomorrow

STEAM Night (formerly known as Science Night) is tomorrow, May 8, from 6:00 until 8:00.

To kick things off, we will have the Paddy Wagon and Explorer’s Club food trucks at 5:30 and the Graeter’s Ice Cream truck. If the weather cooperates, OSU’s Drone club will be flying some of their drones. Principal Fox and some of your favorite teachers will be racing life-sized hovercrafts built by Michael Seed. Kathyayani Mahadevan has graciously agreed to bring some of STEM-U’s robots and activities, which are always a hit. Worthington’s own WorBots (who won a competition in Cleveland last weekend) will be demonstrating how their robot works. And, of course, we will have hand’s on experiments and activities.
