“Dudes ‘n Donuts” scheduled for next Friday

Who: All Bluffsview Bears and Dudes

When: 7:15-8:00 on Friday, March 2

All students are invited to bring the important adult male in their lives to eat a donut at Bluffsview before school.

Please do not park in front of the school in the bus lane– your car may be towed!

Reading Adventures Week starts tomorrow

This coming week is Bluffsview’s Reading Adventures Week! The whole week will be filled with fun Reading Activities for the students.

2 important parts of the week to note for parents:

#1: Dress Like your Favorite Book Character is on Tuesday. There are a lot of inspirational ideas on Pinterest and the web. We hope you and your kids have fun planning this.

#2: The Camp-Out and Read-In is a celebration of reading with our Bluffsview families from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday. We are so excited to host your and your families for an evening of fun activities with a camp-out theme.

Fall Book Fair this week

Please note the following dates and times for this week’s book fair:

  • Monday: 7:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 7:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 7:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 7:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m.

Be sure to stop by the library before or after school, following parent-teacher conferences, or during the Fall Family Fun Night.

Family Fun Night is this Thursday

Fall Family Fun Night is Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m. Join us in the back of the school for a relaxed, fun evening.

Bring your dinner or purchase dinner from one of the food trucks. Bring a blanket or chairs for sitting, or just walk around and visit other families. The 6th grade students will be selling water and Kona Ice to raise money for their end-of-year celebration and gift to Bluffsview.

Dames & Donuts is on Friday, May 5, from 7:15-8 a.m. All students are invited to bring an important adult female in their life to eat a donut at Bluffsview before school.

Volunteers needed for Spring Carnival

The Spring Carnival is operated 100% by volunteers. It’s a family event FOR families BY families.We are still in need of MANY volunteers to make the Carnival a success.

Please consider volunteering to work a 1-hour shift in one or more of the following areas:

  • Games
  • Ticket sales
  • Clean up
  • Raffle Room

Please note that your child can “help” with you.

Bluffsview Carnival & Raffle Ticket Pre-sale

Buy pre-sale tickets for the carnival and save money!

  • Game & Food tickets: 5 for $1 (4 for $1 on Carnival Day)
  • Raffle tickets: 12 for $5 (50 cents each on Carnival Day)
  • Bluffsview Basket tickets: $1 ($1 each on Carnival Day

The deadline for buying resale tickets is Wednesday, March 15. Pre-sale tickets will be sent home on Friday, March 17. Return the order form with checks made payable to Bluffsview PTA.
