A few reminders of items to pack for today’s “IN TENTS” Field Day:
- TENNIS SHOES (No tennis shoes = NO PLAY!)\
- TIE DYE SHIRT from art. Be sure clothes can get wet and possibly dirty.
- PACKED LUNCH W/DRINK The cafeteria will NOT be open.
- SWIM SUIT under clothes (optional but highly recommended)
- SUNSCREEN! (please apply before school)
- WATER BOTTLE (MANDATORY) marked with name
- TOWEL (optional but recommended) marked with name
- SPARE CLOTHES & footwear (a plastic bag to put in) for after school. (Highly recommended)
We are working with SchoolKidz again this year to provide school supply kits filled with the supplies requested by our teachers for each grade level and EPP. In addition, we are offering the opportunity to purchase backpacks, lunch boxes and other accessories.

Orders can be placed online at www.shopttkits.com using account number 30600. The online ordering deadline is June 1st.

Complete order form and return to school with a check made out to Bluffsview PTA. If purchasing more than one kit and/or supplies, the check can be made out for the total amount. Order forms are due in the office by May 18.
Supply Kit Pick-Up Day will be August 10, the same day class lists will be posted. Times have not yet been determined for pickup. Watch for summer emails! Plan Books will be available for purchase too. All students in Grades 2- 6 will need a plan book. They are $7.00 each.
EPP Math: Graph paper, ear buds or headphones and calculators are available for purchase on the Bulk Order Form. Purchasing a calculator for EPP is optional. Geometry templates will be available for purchase on August 10th as well. They are $8.00 each.
Please Note: Teachers are requesting that each student have earbuds or headphones. In Kindergarten, headphones are preferred. They may be purchased at a store of your choosing or they are available for purchase on the Bulk Order Form.

School picture retakes are tomorrow, Tuesday, October 10. Pics will only be taken if students bring their photo packet back or if they were absent on photo day.

We all know that once Target puts out the school supplies, the countdown is on! Please note these important dates for the beginning of the school year.
AUGUST 9- CLASS LISTS POSTED/SUPPLY PICK UP: Class lists are posted in the lobby of the school from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. School supply orders will also be available for pick-up for those of you who ordered in the spring.
AUGUST 14- MEET AND GREET: Students and parents are welcome to stop by visit classrooms, say hello to teachers, and drop off school supplies. There are two sessions for the Meet and Greet: 12-1 p.m. OR 6-7 p.m.
AUGUST 16- FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: Please note that there is a staggered start for kindergarten students.
AUGUST 24- CURRICULUM NIGHT: There will be two time slots for curriculum night: 6:15-7 p.m. OR 7:15-8 p.m.
AUGUST 28- SCHOOL PICTURES: We’re trying something new with school pictures this year. Pictures will NOT be taken before school starts this year. Instead, the entire school will have their photos taken on August 28.
SEPTEMBER 26- FIRST PTA MEETING: Please join us in the library media center for the first PTA meeting of the year. All are welcome!
This year may not be over quite yet, but it’s time to order Supply Kits for the 2017-2018 school year.
The last day to bring your order form to school is May 22, 2017. Should you order by this method, a check needs to be included made payable to the Bluffsview PTA.
You may also order online at www.shopttkits.com by June 2, 2017. Bluffsview’s account number is 30600.
These deadlines are firm as no late orders will be accepted.
This is an easy way to purchase your student’s supplies without waiting on sales and traveling from store to store. Backpacks, water bottles and lunch bags may also be purchased. This is your only opportunity to purchase school supplies through the school. Orders will be picked up on August 9; times will be announced in the August newsletter.
